The 2008 World Series of Poker will run from May 30 to July 16 and there are 55 scheduled events from which to pick for your viewing pleasure.

The $10 000 No-Limit Texas Hold'em Main Event will begin on July 3 this year and runs for 13 days, while another major tournament is the five-day $50 000 H.O.R.S.E. Event, which begins on June 25.

Harrah's Entertainment, which owns the Rio Hotel and Casino, has extensive experience in staging huge events that attract crowds of thousands, so you can rest assured that if you do decide to travel to Las Vegas for the World Series, you will be well catered for during your stay.

The popularity of the World Series of Poker, however, does mean that you will need to do some careful pre-planning.
