Series of Poker since 2004, when Harrah's
Entertainment acquired the rights to the poker tournament.
The move to the Rio All-Suite Casino and Hotel has allowed the explosion of popularity surrounding the World Series of Poker: the hotel has more than 2 500 suites, as well as over 100 000 square feet of gaming space, including The Rio Poker Room.
Spectators and participants planning to travel to Las Vegas for the 2009 World Series of Poker should plan well in advance as not only the Rio All-Suite Casino and Hotel, but most hotels on The Strip, will be sold out for the duration of the World Series.

The Rio All-Suite Casino and Hotel boasts over 1 000 slot and video poker machines and offers a daily $60 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em poker tournament with a $40 add on.
Many other variants of poker, including Seven-Card Stud, are played, and in fact the Rio Poker Room will spread any game requested. As well as poker, gamers can enjoy blackjack, craps and over 80 other table games.
Las Vegas Rio Venues
The Rio is at the forefront of Las Vegas nightlife, hosting a number of popular venues including VooDoo Lounge, Flirt and Lucky Strike.
Superb tenpin bowling can be found at the Lucky Strikes Lane – set in 1960s Hollywood – where patrons can enjoy specialty cocktails, draft beer and good food.
The VooDoo Lounge, meanwhile, floats above the city of Las Vegas on the 50th and 51st floors of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Also a steakhouse, the VooDoo Lounge offers breathtaking views of the Las Vegas Strip from indoor seating as well as tables on the terrace.
